#1. Who Is Laura Loomer?
Laura Elizabeth Loomer was born on May 21, 1993 in North Miami, Florida. She was raised in Arizona by a Jewish father who taught her, in her own words, how to identify “ethnically, culturally and politically Jewish.” (Source: “Laura Loomer Is The Jewish Voice Of The Far Right. Loomer received post-secondary education at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, but that stint didn’t last long. She left after one semester, claiming that she was targeted for her conservative ideals. Loomer says she “ate every single meal by myself for an entire semester.” So, either she was very unlikable, or her rejection of rightist, conservative beliefs made her stick out like a sore thumb. Loomer later transferred to Barry University in Miami, becoming active in Republican Party groups on campus. The school also became the platform from which she launched her career.
In September 2014, the ever politically active Loomer tipped off a Florida political blog that, as part of a 9/11 memorial event on Barry University’s campus, a Muslim imam had chanted “Allahu ackbar” (translation: “God is great,” or “God is Greater”). Since 9/11 is widely acknowledged to have been perpetrating by Islamic extremists, Loomer believed that the imam was out of line. “That’s not cool, because that’s what the terrorists were chanting,” said Loomer. Loomer followed the 9/11 incident with a bolder scheme on campus. Unbeknownst to Barry University officials, she videotaped conversations with them while she pretended to push the idea of starting a club called “Sympathetic Students in Support of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.” The school agreed, with the stipulation that she change the group’s name to “Students in Support of the Middle East.” (Source: Ibid.)

#2. Laura Loomer Career
After Loomer left Barry University, she worked as an undercover journalist at Project Veritas from 2015 to 2017. Loomer worked on an expanded range of projects, helping uncover alleged Hillary Clinton campaign fraud, Islamic extremism on college campuses, and U.S. immigration system loopholes.
In June 2017, she became a reporter for Canada’s The Rebel Media, one of the few far-right news outlets of any significance in Canada. That stint was brief, as Loomer resigned in September 2017. More recently, Loomer has been a preeminent independent journalist in the October 1 Las Vegas shooting story. She has been credited with breaking several stories, from the potential gag order placed on the family of security guard Jesus Campos, to the erroneous initial shooting timeline provided by LVMPD officials.
Loomer’s persistence has gotten her barred from LVMPD press briefings, furthering her notoriety as “hard hitting”.

#3. Five Controversies Created by Laura Loomer
1. On November 8, 2016, Loomer went to a polling station, dressed in a burqa, and asked for a ballot under the name of Huma Abedin (former Hillary Clinton top aide). The goal was to test the integrity of an average American polling station in regards to minority requests. That stunt didn’t sit well with many progressives. (Source: Forward, op cit.)
2. On June 16, 2017, Loomer again entered the news cycle when she live-streamed her interruption of the controversial interpretation of the Shakespeare play Julius Caesar in New York. Loomer objected to the portrayal of Julius Caesar as a loosely-disguised facsimile of Donald Trump—specifically during the scene in which Caesar is murdered.
Right before that fateful scene, Loomer rushed the stage, yelling “Stop the normalization of political violence against the right!
