Las Vegas Hooters Was the Staging Ground for Some Type of Event

Did a parallel attack happen at a Las Vegas Hooters? That’s are what some are speculating after new video surfaced showing 16 ambulances parked outside a Las Vegas Hooters, allegedly pulling out bodies. Let’s explore.

The story has exploded onto the alternative media scene, receiving over 2100 comments (to date) on popular alt-news web site Infowars. In the Hooters Las Vegas shooting video, ambulance after ambulance pulls up to the location, situated approximately 0.8 miles (1.1 km) northwest of the Mandalay Bay. With so many ambulances congregating in one area, there’s speculation a parallel Las Vegas attack happened there.

Further bolstering these claims are two important facts:

  1. An October 14 Intellihub report details an eyewitness account of a radio interview where a witness saw witnessed a “solo SWAT guy” enter the back door of Hooters. “…There was a bunch of people trying to get the hell away from Hooters so we did too,” he explained. “So we started running again.” (Source: “Vegas Bombshell: Video Shows 17 Ambulances Pulling Bodies Out Of Hooters,” Inforwars, October 22, 2017.)
  2. A quick analysis by YouTube practitioner HighImpactFlix revealed that it was odd that no ambulances were being dispatched towards the Mandalay Bay venue, nor was there foot traffic coming from the south. The video below was shot at the MGM Grand Hotel across the street from Hooters, facing south. The basic implication is this: if this Las Vegas Hooters was really just a “triage” area to aid the injured, why didn’t we see these two aspects on video (2:10 mark)? [video removed]

Did a Parallel Attack Happen at Las Vegas Hooters? – Not Likely

At first glance, it might seem that way. After all, 16 ambulances, along with several police vehicles, were parked outside the venue, sirens blazing. That many ambulances (and police cars) don’t show up unless something major has happened. The full-length version of the video also shows the main thoroughfare running north (in front) of Hooters sealed off, with authorities creating a parameter.

But was terrorism involved at this location? Was there another parallel Las Vegas shooter aside from the main event perpetrated by Stephen Paddock? Probably not, and here’s why.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, medics had set up a medical treatment triage area near the Hooters casino to help the injured. (Source: “For many who survived carnage, Tropicana became a safe haven,” Las Vegas Sun, October 3, 2017.)

The article also states that ambulances were being dispatched to the concert venue, via Tropicana Avenue, to pick up the injured. This could account for the bodies coming in and out. It also wouldn’t be uncommon for local officials to have a disaster preparedness plan already in place, in case emergency struck on the strip. Every large city has these types of emergency contingency plans in place.

This account is corroborated by CNN, which documented personal accounts of concert patrons using Hooters as a post-massacre meetup area. “Bowdien Derby and Madison Viray finally connect on the phone and meet up at the Tropicana, then move to the Hooters hotel… There’s an area for wounded victims and firefighter Viray goes to help.” (Source: “10 Las Vegas survivors and their six hours of hell,” CNN, October 5, 2017.)

Still yet more anecdotal evidence that Hooters was used as a triage point comes courtesy of the Daily Breeze. On October 2, they reported that Torrance fire Captain Jim Strock and his wife, “found themselves shuffled into the Hooters Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. He immediately began helping triage the wounded.” (Source: “Assistant Torrance fire chief shot in leg in Las Vegas thankful to be alive,” Daily Breeze, October 2, 2017.)

Was the Las Vegas Hooters Casino Attacked?

The plausibility of this scenario exists when you consider other Las Vegas casinos were possibly attacked during the main massacre. This fact hasn’t been widely reported by the mainstream media, but video evidence exists.

This evidence comes way of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. The video below shows a patron of the hotel recording the Bellagio on lockdown at the time the main massacre was unfolding. At one point, the narrator can be heard saying “”As Daniel and I were sitting and bullets were being fired and we were in the lobby at the lobby bar”.

“- And when the shots came firing through the front door of the lobby, and the mass chaos and stampede was when I was under the table and Daniel was on top of me…” (Source: “Las Vegas Proof Not One Shooter Last Night,” YouTube video, 6:44, October 2, 2017, posted by “Western Restoration,” last watched October 23, 2017.)

And here’s another piece of video evidence confirming the incident. We can clearly seen guns drawn against a suspect, who is presumably on the ground:

Source: “Police respond to shooting outside of the Bellagio in Las Vegas,” YouTube video, 0:30, October 2, 2017, posted by “News World,” last watched October 23, 2017.

So the exit question is this: Was this shooting related somehow to the main massacre, a coincidence, or perhaps a crime of opportunity from someone looking to capitalize on the chaos taking place at the Mandalay Bay?

To date, there’s no evidence the Bellagio incident is related to the Mandalay Bay incident, nor has the FBI ir LVMPD suggested such a link.

Our Verdict

Weighing all the evidence, we believe it’s not likely that the Las Vegas Hooters was the scene of a parallel terrorist attack. Almost certainly, it was a medical triage meetup point–quite possibly, a pre-planned designated makeshift area to be used to shelter the injured in case of emergency on the Main Strip. We have no specific evidence of this, but such planning is routine in city emergency preparedness circles.

However, there remain some lingering questions. The video evidence of Hooters does not show a streaming line of ambulances heading to and from the concert venue near Mandalay Bay. Nor is there evidence of stragglers making their way to Hooters from a main artery road heading north. Also, there’s been at least one documented report of the SWAT team crashing through the back door. Why would that happen at a medical triage area?

While we would appreciate answers to some of those questions, there isn’t enough doubt to sway our verdict: not likely.
